PVOH lamination provides a barrier to moisture, resistance to oil/fats and strength functionality to paper. 

Water soluble paper sacks can be fully dissolved in a container with water and then flushed. It can also be recovered through paper recycling system while the film dissolves and biodegrades in waste water treatment plants.
